Youth With a Mission (ywam) is an International Missions organization that focuses on knowing God and making Him known and one such part of that excellent work is located in Guyana, South America where I was once priviledged to work as well. Currently they have a discipleship training center there and they also have an amazing work at a local Hospital (pictured left here) where they work to help the patients.
The volunteers minister to dying patients in the Infectious disease ward, giving words of hope and encouragement with the goal of leading them to Jesus. Patients are given juice, biscuits and
toiletries to help them as some patients have been abandoned by family members and otherwise receive no care. Some of the volunteers visit the Children’s ward at the hospital, ministering to
the cancer kids and their parents as well as kids in the general ward. Coloring pages and crayons are given to kids and basic toiletries to the more needy families.
It truly is a ministry of life and hope, making a difference in lives that are desperate for encouragement, prayer and life changes. The goal of the ministry is to lead patients to Christ and be the light of Jesus to those in need.
We hope to be a part of raising the funds every month for this Hospice ministry which runs around $300.00 per month. For every purchase made on their behalf we will donate 20% of the total sale to their ministry.
